SHOW.ROOM

About the Project

SHOW.ROOM is an informal platform for encounters across professions with a focus on the creative industries. The first edition took place in June 2023 in the garden of our studio in Malá Strana.

The concept of SHOW.ROOM grew out of the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team that worked on the design proposal for the Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka. The aim of the meetings is to share ideas, approaches, and experiences, connecting creators and professionals from different fields and opening opportunities for further interdisciplinary cooperation. The first edition was held in the garden of our studio in Malá Strana and featured guests such as shoemaker Aneta Gretzová, multidisciplinary artist Alex Jindrák, designer Tereza Bláhová, lawyer Tereza Jandáčková, and psychologist Petra Prtina. Together with our colleague Tereza Thérová, we prepared the scenography of the event. The food and its presentation were curated by chef Elizabeth Svátková, and the evening concluded with a performance by Anna Kroupová.

Aneta Gretzová, a bespoke shoemaker, crafts made-to-measure welted shoes entirely by hand using tools and techniques from the late 19th century — the golden age of shoemaking. One pair takes her 130 hours to complete and is a fusion of craftsmanship, aesthetics, functionality, and the individuality of the client.

Alex Jindrák, a digital artist and multidisciplinary creative, introduced the project GMA, which explores digital art, NFTs, motion design, and augmented reality.

Tereza Bláhová believes that scent holds equal importance to visual impression. Together with her colleagues Jakub Stejskal and Matyáš Leiský, she leads lectures on fragrance and perfumery — not only as aesthetic experiences but also in their practical application.

Tereza Jandáčková, a lawyer and founding partner of the law firm Novalia, specializes in copyright and art law. She enjoys advising artists, galleries, and commercial entities involved in the arts.

Petra Prtina, a psychologist, focuses primarily on psychotherapy. She has spent several years working in a therapeutic community dedicated to personality disorders.

Excellent refreshments were prepared and personally introduced by Elizabeth Svátková, head chef of BjuKitchen.

The evening concluded with a live performance by Anna Kroupová.
